The jaw-dropping and neck-craning Meteora is one of 18 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Greece – but few can match its wow factor. On this full day tour, you'll visit its largest monastery as well as visit Kalambaka.It's a long trip to Meteora from Parga – but it's well worth the journey through the hills of western Thessaly. Meteora's ancient monasteries sit on top of sandstone towers carved out by Mother Nature. Originally, there were 24 built, of which six remain active. You'll visit the largest, the Monastery of Great Meteoron, for a guided tour. At more than 600m, it's also the highest.
